What was meant to heal the world… destroyed it instead.

A miracle drug promised to end addiction, depression, and homelessness. Governments across the globe rushed it to the masses.

Then the screaming started. They started calling it The Tox Shot.

Now, the infected roam. They’re ravenous, violent, and twisted by a cure that turned into a curse. The infection spreads like wildfire through the exchange of bodily fluids. Nowhere is safe.

Joel, a recently discharged sailor, just wanted to rebuild his life. Freshly divorced and heading back to his parents’ home in Eastern Tennessee, he finds the world he knew collapsing around him. After being trapped alone in a cabin surrounded by snow and death, salvation arrives in the form of Terry. This fellow survivor brings grit, a sharp eye, and a quick trigger finger. Together, they fight their way back to Joel’s childhood home, only to discover the nightmare is just beginning.
With Joel’s mother, they must navigate a world teetering on the edge. Hunted by both the infected and people looking to take advantage of other’s helplessness, willing to kill for food, fuel, or even a warm place to sleep.

The end began with a shot.

Survival begins with a choice.

Fans of Slow Burn by Bobby Adair, They Come at Night by Nick Clausen, Adrian’s Undead Diary by Chris Philbrook, and Zombie Fallout by Mark Tufo will be pulled into The Tox Shot. This is a tense, character-driven zombie apocalypse thriller where society unravels fast, trust breaks faster, and the line between human and monster starts to blur.

Grab Book 1 of The Tox Shot series today, and prepare to fight.

Let's start with the Horrible AI. If you're an avid Zompoc reader, you'll find idea after idea from other people's work throughout the books. There was 0 premise. it's like the C backups story after A & B have been used up. Every chapter story line is taken from another's ideas. I was so disgusted. NOT worth the purchase. Listen if you can get for free, even then...it's a waste.

Horrible, only somewhat salvageable.

Overall the story wasn’t bad. The characters made some dumb mistakes but that may be realistic. Ok the main character served in the Navy but does not know how to check for a pulse. BS, the military teaches first aid in basic training part of that is teaching how to check for a pulse and CPR.
The AI narration sucks. The wrong words are emphasized in sentences. The narration has no idea how to pronounce abbreviations. It called .50 Cal which stands for caliber as calories. It was hard to listen all the way through. A bad narration can ruin an audio book.
