Editorial reviews

George Guidall's professionalism and talent are evident in every minute of this classic Western. Gray's epic tale of building the first transcontinental railroad is peopled with finely drawn characters like hero Warren Neale; his partner, Larry Red King; and his girlfriend, Allie Lee - plus numerous miners, railroad workers, and Indians. Guidall's charming soft accents and unique vocal characterizations add to the tension and drama of the struggles these strong characters face. He maintains consistency for characters of various ages, genders, and backgrounds. During narrative passages, Guidall's command of audiobook performance is especially noteworthy.

The railroad was a sign of modern times and was a way for people to travel from place to place. It was also the end of the era for the Indians, time was changing!

The UP Trail by Zane Grey is an exciting action-packed romance of the true spirit of the same Great Western. Sangre is my favorite author. I don't believe I've read a book that I didn't like saying hi. This is one of my favorites!

I grew up between Cheyenne and Laramie. Familiar with most landmarks in the story. I liked the voice of the narrator. He did a good job.

Interesting story.

Interesting story, told in a way that made me want to keep picking it up, no matter how often I was interrupted, the more interruptions, the more anticipation to get back to the characters, the story.
Really interested in well-being of characters.
