A practical guide for modern-day parenting geared towards stay-at-home dads, offering advice on everything from learning to cook and clean with children, to dealing with mental health and relationships and addressing male loneliness, with the easygoing perspective that dads can use their natural talents to parent any way that they choose.

The Ultimate Stay-at-Home Dad manual takes the best advice and wisdom from a dads' group, and puts it into a format to help new stay-at-home fathers. Characterized by actionable and direct advice to fathers, the book takes on parenting from a father's point of view and encourages dads to use their natural talents to become a better parent. That advice is further bolstered by an additional 57 other dads who also give advice. All this advice is framed by the author's personal stories, which help the reader connect with the content and drives the advice home. This is a book that takes on day-to-day parenting, not just as a stay-at-home dad--working fathers could benefit from this book as much as at-home dads.

Shannon empowers his readers to stand tall and continue being themselves while stepping into the life-changing role of “Dad”. He does this with care and many personal anecdotes, exposing his own vulnerabilities and the vulnerabilities that parenthood exposes in everyone. Shannon normalizes “the struggle”, while providing insight and resources to help Dads find their people, find their groove, and thrive as a Dad.

Shannon if you’re reading this, here’s a “big bear hug”! Thanks man.

I agree with the rest. It would be better if the author was the narrator. This guy has the wrong tone.

Good book. Helpful.

Great content. But the narrator is so slow. Crank him up to 1.3-1.4 to help.

I got this book to listen on a long drive as I have been struggling to be a better parent as well. I feel a lot of good advice and resources were mentioned in the book and in an approachable manner.

Obviously some advice are to be taken with a grain of salt as every parent will have their own unique experiences and reasons for things, but the author actually recognizes and acknowledges that and tries to address something for various types of dads.

Honestly, my only issue with the book was the Narrator. The Narrator was good for the most part, but everytime they pronounced trebuchet, my eye twitched.

I will leave it up to prospective listeners, or readers if seeking a written copy, to find out why a dad parenting book has trebuchet mentioned at all, let alone multiple times.

I am currently listening to the book a second time to write down the various resources mentioned.

Tons of good advice and lists.

Great insights on the world of a stay at home dad! It was refreshing to not be spoken to like a moron!

Informative, fun, and refreshing
