While Robby finally gets to fall in love and stumble through his romanic vacation, we get to be entertained with some new characters and the bad guys that continually can't seem to launch a effective attack. The Love at Stake book is another fun book in this series. If you enjoyed the previous books in this series this one won't disappoint. The narration by Plummer was fine. Only if you are into this particular series would I recommend spending the credit.

Vacation time for lovers

This was a fun read that was an enjoyable distraction while home sick. I've read a few books in this series and Therese Plummer's narration has been by far the best. She has a pretty good Scottish accent and did a great job with both male and female voices without sounding silly or cheesy.

The story was better than average as well, incorporating mystery and intrigue early on. The story clearly picks up from a previous book, but you can get the gist of things without having read it. The supporting characters' stories lend well to the main story and I enjoyed that the story took place over a longer period of time than usual.

Where does The Vampire and the Virgin rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This story is a great story, but there are parts where the main character Olivia got a little annoying but the over all purpose of the story was good and the audio version of this book was good.

How this book ranks compared to other books i have listened to it's in the definitely would listen to again pile and recommend to others pile.

Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to this narrator before but she did the accents wonderfully.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Any additional comments?

So far I have looked up the other books in this series and i'm not sure why each book is narrated by a different person which creates a strong frown on my face because Therese Plummer did a great job.

Wonderfully Narrated

This series is a good, quick listen. Most narrators are good, which is saying something due to the exuberance of Scottish English used. This particular book has a wonderful narrator, and I devoured it in 2 days. Lots of anticipation in the best way. I recommend it.

FUN RIDE

It’s like a hot Lifetime movie. I can’t say the writing was bad because it was just a playful book and it didn’t take itself serious. Don’t think I’d read anything like this again though
