The commoners are raising their pitchforks.

A spark of revolution lights up the air. Dissatisfied with rampant banditry eating away at their livelihoods, the kingdom's farmers have gathered in protest at the Wessin Bridge, all the while a mysterious pale knight lurks in the shadows.

Faced with the greatest peril imaginable, Juliette Contzen, 3rd Princess and the only adventurer not to be permanently napping in a bar, bravely strives forth to placate the peasantry.

This is me, sitting here with a huge smile on my face, which is probably the most appropriate place for a smile I suppose. This series really does make me happy, and this particular release did not disappoint. It was actually slightly different than the previous ones as it was more a series of mini adventures than one main arc. Still, it was as refreshing as a spring breeze. Also, more broken furniture!

I enjoyed this book very much. though the way the enemies get defeated is getting old and I'm spacing out for those moments its really funny, just wish there was more variety.

Great comedy

another great installment. I really enjoy experiencing Julliet's exploits from other perspectives, but in this one we also get alot of great side stories from other titular characters. all in all more great fun.

side character special!

I was into it by the end of the first book but I swear this series just continues to get more and more fun every time a new volume comes out. Kaye Ng's writing with Brenna Larsen's delivery is such an amazing combo.

This isn't a bad thing (imo) but I gotta say... this volume definitely didn't help quiet down the little voice in the back of my head whispering about slow burn rivals-to-lovers(?) scenarios. Part of me says "it's not really that sort of series or MC" but then there's some pretty overt foreshadowing going on that's getting difficult to ignore. Could we be that lucky? or will they really kill each other first?

In any case, I can't wait for the next one!

They just keep getting better
