This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.

Jerry Anderson was an astronaut faced with an impossible choice: die of asphyxiation in a few hours or see if the alien pod he was transporting really was an escape pod and find out if it could actually save him.

When he enters it, he finds that the controls are unreadable, lacking anything to go on, and rapidly running out of air. He presses the blinking green button.

The next thing he knows, he isn’t human anymore, and he finds himself on a seashore, next to some birds feasting on a body that looks very similar to his new body.

He is alive, but staying alive will be a challenge, and he will be able to communicate with the locals, assuming the next ones he finds dont kill him on sight.

I thought that it was a really good book, but my only problem with it was that I felt that they got too many things so easily from the ship. So, all in all, I think you should listen to it, just again, I think it was a teensy bit too easy for everything.

Virtual voice is weak

The story was very good and I truly enjoyed, but the virtual voice narration made it difficult to follow which character was speaking ... very linear and two dimensional.
If my options are to hear the title with a virtual narrator or otherwise never hear the title, then that would be a difficult choice.

Story good, voice not so good

I see a lot of negative reviews which I am confused by. The work is very entertaining and enjoyable. Not sure why the audiobook is free. Pony up for a human narrator and watch the cash roll in. I don’t believe it’s supposed to be a historical work of art remembered for thousands of years and taught in middle schools. But. I come here to turn the brain off and enjoy the work. Can’t wait for the sequel. I would say bravo author. Bravo

The Virtual Voice is great technology, but it doesn't compare to an actual reader. All of the characters are voiced the same and exclamatory statements, humor and sarcasm are sometimes lost. Consequently, the nuances of the characters are lost or don't fully develop. Since the narration didn't draw me in, I fear the story suffered.

I much prefer a practiced reader.
