Love the suspense and concept

The book is the series starter of what could become a long series because of the number of survivors who split up. The concept is that a Canadian general who has a heart condition accidentally captures a man who can shape shift into a wolf and is pleased that the family can too. The general has the idea to create super soldiers through science. He puts together a scientific team and starts imprisoning people and then soldiers. This is about the Captain of the first group of soldiers and the huntress who is forced to hunt for the Captain after he escapes.
