Dorothy Bontrager has lived at her grandparents’ farm since she was orphaned as a young girl. Though it has been many years since then, she fears her current home with the older couple could be lost - for it happened once before. With the New Year fast approaching, Dorothy plans to start a business in a bid to feel more secure following her grandfather’s recent passing. She keeps her heart guarded, but the arrival of a young man in town catches her attention.

Conrad Lantz returns to his family’s farm to help his daed after he suffers an injury. But Conrad’s stay in Rock Point is temporary. He’s eager to set off as soon as his daed is back on his feet. Yet, he finds himself surprisingly drawn to a woman who has strong ties keeping her in the area...
