I think the story is great, but…

It’s hard to tell. I’m not sure what is going on with the narrator …. Is it English as a second language? Is she trying to sound like an android? I thought the later until the narration for a human was also woefully weird I didn’t think that was it. The inflection is so off that it will rip me out of the story thinking; “WTF”. It is so distracting it’s hard to enjoy or track the story. Debating paying for the last book… maybe I’ll get desperate.
