Healing together is not the only option. Sometimes, the right decision is to walk away. Out of the many audiobooks that promote the idea that repairing the relationship after an affair is an achievable goal for everyone, this audiobook will shatter that myth.

This is not a how-to audiobook aimed at describing the needed steps for recovery. This is a how-come audiobook aimed at exploring why people get stuck in their recovery efforts despite spending endless hours and a lot of money in therapy. The difficulties in recovering from affairs are varied, but most often stem from a poor understanding of the concept of healing and how to achieve it. But sometimes, the difficulties reflect unique archetypes of unfaithful partners who make the potential for healing through repair an impossible endeavor.

This audiobook was made to explain what these archetypes look like, where they come from, and how they negatively impact the recovery process and the betrayed partner’s experience. My hope for the listener is that they gain clarity and insight about their unique situations. This clarity will aid them in assessing the choices they have in front of them and the impact these choices will have on the outcome of treatment.

Gave very succinct understandings of what took years of counseling to understand. It was very helpful to hear of all the different archetypes.

I wish I would’ve had this years earlier.

Well delivered content. Validating and an interesting take on the why when your partner refuses to discuss the betrayal.

Helpful.

This perspective was great! The Tone Def archetype was sit on, every part of it!! This was the first time that something hit our situation right on the head, and I felt validated which was nice!

This book is so good that I went ahead and grabbed both the paperback and the audio version so that I could hear some of the points again while driving, etc. This book was easy to listen to and follow. The narrator does a great job of capturing the overall tone of the book and actually provided more clarity. I was able to grasp more of the content the second time through. It really helped me to understand why my relationship was stuck. I feel like everyone who has been through an affair should read this book if they feel like their therapy isn’t getting anywhere or they feel their partner isn’t sorry.
