Elmer Robbins was turned into a dungeon core after an untimely death back on Earth, and he had a heck of time learning how to survive in the new, strange world of Bershia. However, by adopting “Holidays” as a theme and creating the first few rooms of his dungeon focused on Christmas, he learned how to protect his Core from being destroyed by Adventurers.

While Elmer was steadily increasing his core level - the eventual goal of which was to break down the barrier in his core separating him from the soul of his wife, Mary - there is trouble brewing in his dungeon. When a high-level group of Adventurers arrive and obliterate all of his Christmas-based defenses, they leave with a warning for the dungeon to make their next visit in 30 days more interesting.

Having decorated for many of the major holidays back on Earth, Elmer knows exactly what his new - and hopefully interesting - dungeon section needs to be: St. Valentine’s Day. Now, all he needs to do is figure out how to translate a holiday based on love and friendship into defenses designed to kill Adventurers.

Valentine Core is a short novella set in a unique universe that contains LitRPG and dungeon core elements such as stats and character progression. Contains no foul language, explicit sexual content, or harems.

Amazing story.

It was and interesting view of Valentine’s Day. It shows that love it in the air, even thought my favorite part is the historical, but that does not interest most people.

Enjoying this series

I enjoyed this book a lot and look forward to the next novella in this series. I highly recommend this series, especially if you're looking for something light and that doesn't require a huge time investment.

This is a second novella in a series and I am just as in love with this book as I was with the first one .

A fun take on dungeon core focusing on holidays!

Jonathan Brooks knows great dungeon core, and book 2 of the Holiday Dungeon Core series, Valentine Core, is amazing! Quite original, the dungeon is focused on Valentine's Day of course, and the locals on the world the MC was sent to as a dungeon core have no idea what Valentine's Day is nor any of its traditions or tropes. Looking forward to book 3 in the series, Easter Core! Audio Version: Miles Meili always does an amazing job narrating, bringing characters and story mood to life.
