For months, Arcangelo has evaded capture in World of Chains. Carl and his armies of non-humans barely managed to fend off the human army attacking the Scoured Mountain last time. That’s how it’s supposed to go, according to the stories. It’s supposed to be Man-o-a-dragon-o. Only…the Nefren Empire never got that memo. Now the bloody two-legged smooth skins are back, with reinforcements.

Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with change is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

Run. Hide. Live the good life online. Early retirement looked so easy on paper. Steal eight million euros from a gangster. Hide inside an online game and enjoy the finer things in life as a bard until the danger had passed. Except Daniel messed up. Now, the gangsters are in the game looking for him and he's stuck with an imbalanced character build in a dead-end starter village. Can Daniel find his own place and a life worth living inside the World of Chains?

Selys, the Burning End, Overlord of the Scoured Mountain, is dead. Onyx and his faithful minions are safely seated in her old fortress, already working to change the mountain for the better. Sadly, not everyone is happy with the ridiculous "modern" changes they are attempting to implement.

Chase and his crew of outlaw card-wielders had their future all figured out: the Earth's Ward stronghold would keep them safe and sound in well-earned comfort, the latent power in their decks enough to ensure their safety from any stray attacks.

If they want a path out of poverty, they will have to unlock access to the magical card system that will change their lives for the better. Of course, nothing's free in life. And nobody higher up the chain is going to give them a hand up. But what they might lack in education, riches, and, let's face it, hygiene, they have in determination.

Daniel's Guide to Early Retirement: 1. Intercept illegal money transfer from mafia boss. 2. Hide out in super-exclusive Full Immersion Virtual Reality game until the heat is off. 3. Roll a bard. Max out charisma. Live it up. 4. Profit. With all the pesky planning out of the way, Daniel set out to realize his ultimate dream: gaining enough money to buy a tropical island and spend his days playing the violin and RPGs. What could possibly go wrong?

Go to the big city. Hang out with the bigwigs. Have fun. That was the plan, right? Right! Except, our hero was supposed to be the guest of honor and the mob was not supposed to be invited. Daniel was running out of places to lay low, however. Something needed to be done, or he’d be caught in the ever-tightening net of his pursuers.

Chase and his ragtag crew of criminals, including a very reluctant noble heir, have just pulled off the impossible. They've stolen not one, but two, legendary decks of power. Light and Darkness. With that kind of magic, they would be able to live like kings... you know, if the entire Church of the Circle and the Lightborn nobility didn't want them dead. So yeah, no pressure. All they need to do is escape and get to the Elemental Towers in Earth's Ward. It's the perfect hideout for a crew with a death warrant, and it is home to the largest Library on Ordei.

So much darkness. At least it made hiding easier. Daniel and his group of close friends barely made it away from the mob and their underhanded allies among the Cabal. Now, they were hunted prey, forced to ditch their beloved floating castle in order to find a place to hide. But where could you possibly hide when the Dawnlight Forest would soon be teeming with people looking for you? That’s right. Underground. Quite literally.

Out of credits, with trash-tier mods and no hope, Bowdoin Katamari resides at the bottom of the pile in the city of Artem. A place where megacorporations, merc guilds, and inner-city pricks live like royalty while the rest suffer. In spite of his poor prospects, this self-taught hacker does have a few things left. A seething hatred for the upper castes, a mind bursting with plots, and a like-minded crew determined to get ahead.

Through clever usage of construction techniques as well as ham-fisted applications of force, Carl survived being reborn as a shadow dragon inside the Scoured Mountain. The future is looking bright for him and his band of trash-tier minions, and they’ll have ample time to decide exactly which kind of society they want to build in this violence-filled world. There’s just one tiny problem. Only one dragon gets to be in charge, and every single other dragon from his clutch survived as well.

Bowdoin and his crew have grown in both strength and reach. They have taken on all comers, gangs, corpo, and otherwise, and expanded their domain to include the entirety of their arcology. But they have not avoided entrapment. Ostensibly, Bowdoin is doing work for hire for the hacker corporation Inside Eye. The reality of it is bleaker than this. The chains may be pretty and invisible to the naked eye, but they are still there.

Das menschliche Imperium mit seinen endlosen Reihen und seiner unerbittlichen Verfolgung kommt immer näher. Es geht nicht nur um einen Kampf, sondern ums Überleben, und die einzige Möglichkeit ist, sich aus dem Staub zu machen. Aber Carl macht sich keine Sorgen um die Flucht: Er plant bereits seinen Gegenangriff.

Carl and his bottom-scraper minions were a success story from any perspective. Against all odds, they managed to defeat all of Carl's dragon siblings and kill the filthy Soul Carver. Now, all that is left for him to do is take up the comfy place as the rightful ruler of the Scoured Mountain. With that out of the way, Selys the dragon matriarch can retire and go do whatever she feels like. Small issue: "Whatever Selys feels like" turns out to be world domination.

Carl und seine Armeen von Nicht-Menschen konnten beim letzten Mal die Menschenarmee, die den Verbrannten Berg angriff, gerade noch abwehren. So soll es laut den Geschichten ablaufen. Es soll Mann gegen Drachen sein. Nur... das Reich der Nefren hat dieses Memo nie bekommen. Jetzt sind die verdammten zweibeinigen Glatthäute zurück und haben Verstärkung bekommen. Bis jetzt waren die Kräfte des Berges immer gespalten.

Carl war ein normaler Vorarbeiter auf dem Bau. Nicht der schlechteste, nicht der beste und definitiv nicht der dünnste. Trotzdem hatte er diesen Herzinfarkt nicht verdient! Er hatte es wirklich nicht verdient, als Drache in einer Welt voller Magie wiedergeboren zu werden, in der jeder gegen jeden kämpfte. Um fair zu sein, war es schön, an der Spitze der Nahrungskette zu stehen. Jetzt musste Carl nur noch lernen, wie Magie funktionierte, welche Monster man essen konnte und warum sein Hort so wichtig für ihn war.
