As usual, two concurrent mysteries happen. One for Sherlock and Savich alone, and another that feature the love interests of the story. In this case. Agent Bowie Richards and PI Erin Pulaski - an "Irish/Polish American." I would love to hear how these two tell their kids how they met. That could be very fun. Well, now that I think about it, how Sherlock and Savich met was just as interesting. Anyway, Whiplash was full of action and suspense, with a hint of paranormal. Always fascinating.

Fascinating

I love this story. But for once, just once would it be too much to ask for Savich or a guy agent to be in trouble? It's always Sherlock or one of the women agents or characters being taken. I mean here you have the tough, strong women characters but their always "waiting" to be rescued. Sherlock and Lucy are the only 2 agents (along with other non-agent women, like Nick, in Eleventh Hour or Rachel, in Tailspin) who've ever been able to "help" themselves after being kidnapped, drugged or taken etc. Just saying.. But I digress.. This book is great! That's only a few that I cannot listen to more than twice (only once really but twice if I'm really bored) Nemisis & Paradox are 2 of my favorites but I like this one too. Two of the main characters are new and I really like them both. They are smart and savvy though the woman Erin, probably is more so than Bowey the guy. She's a private investigator and he's an fbi agent and Bowey has a little girl (although, that's another thing, is it too much to ask for Sean to have a little BOY for a friend? There's nothing but little girls Sean is the only little boy, EVER).

Another Great Story

I just had the strangest call from a fellow reader as I was finishing up listening to this book. I had my earbuds in so I was shocked when the call came through. This woman started talking to me and I think she thought she was Kaye. She was talking to me as if I was also one of the characters, I’m not sure which one or who but she definitely thought I was a friend or acquaintance. She was discussing what was going on in the case basically giving a run down on what I already listed to. Like I said I was listening to the last chapter when she chimed in. I didn’t want to be rude and I really did want to see how far she would take it. I finally had to quit talking and listening because I had another NORMAL conversation coming through. Thanks for reading about my bizarre morning. P.S. I can’t figure out where she retrieved my phone number. Lol

Bizarre in encounter with fellow listener
