I love listening to Louise Allens books. What a wonderful caring family. This book is great, all her books are. This one was really good, so sad at the end. I was hoping for a happy ending.

All of this author’s stories are heartbreaking, yet this one is much more so. The narrator is incredibly talented and elicits the deep emotional energy that was put into the writing of this book.

Willows story had me on edge from the moment she got to the Allen Household. Louise has such an incredible way of foreshadowing. I could feel the dread begin to bubble up even when everything seemed wonderful!

Melanie, the narrator, makes you FEEL a different depth of the story.

Heart Wrenching & Devastating

The books in this entire series are heart wrenching. this particular book is brilliantly written, as are all of Louise's books. She really conveys the heartache, the difficulty of working with the Foster system, and creates awareness with each child 's story. It makes me question my own self and why I read these awful stories. . It makes me question why, as a whole, society doesn't do more. My heart goes out to Willow and I hope that from this point through adulthood she receives the care she needs. praying for her peace, security and love. I hope that someday she gets to come back to Louise's family, feeling that sense of home with them throughout adulthood. Peaise to Louise and her family for all they do. Much Respect!
