As we enter into the debates and discussions regarding gay people, I contend that it is fear that is creating the discord. The church fears gay people. And gay people fear the church. I don’t claim to have all the answers to the myriad issues here. I do claim the way forward, the way Jesus would have us go, begins with casting out fear with love. My utmost contention is that we welcome gays into the church starting with love.
