Skoleturen til Firenze kommer som sendt fra himlen til Lucy. Hun har brug for lidt tid væk fra sin kæreste Tony, som efterhånden ikke synes, det er nok bare at kysse. Han presser på for at komme tættere på hende, end hun har lyst til lige nu.

Nesta forstiller sig velgørenhedsarbejde vil give hende en god chance for at møde nye mennesker (dvs. fyre med kærestepotentiale!). Men efterhånden som hendes øjne åbnes for denne verdens problemer, bliver hendes ønsker om at hjælpe mere oprigtige og mindre udspekuleret egoistiske.
