Seit ich Nox getroffen habe, ist mein Leben in Chaos verfallen. Champagner und Leichen. So sieht es aus, wenn man mit dem Teufel zusammen ist. Und die nächste Leiche, die auftaucht, wirft noch ernstere Probleme auf. Als ob wir nicht schon genug Probleme hätten. Zwischen einem mörderischen gefallenen Engel, einem mysteriösen, mächtigen Feind, der Nox zu Fall bringen will, und einem Höllenziegenbock haben wir alle Hände voll zu tun. Wir müssen Luzifers gestohlenes Buch der Sünden finden, die verlorene Macht über Stolz und Neid zurückgewinnen und dann den Fluch aufheben, der uns daran hindert, zusammen zu sein.

Eines hatte ich nicht erwartet, als ich die Nacht mit dem Teufel verbrachte: am nächsten Tag wachte ich mit Flügeln auf meinem Rücken auf. Aber ich hatte auch nicht erwartet, in einen zweiten Mord verwickelt zu werden - dieses Mal an jemandem, den ich tatsächlich kannte, oder von Kreaturen aus der Hölle angegriffen zu werden und herauszufinden, dass meine Eltern Geheimnisse epischen Ausmaßes vor mir verborgen haben.

Was ist schlimmer, als ein totes Mädchen im Büro seines Chefs zu finden? Zum Hauptverdächtigen in ihrem Mordfall zu werden. Als mein unverschämt gutaussehender und superheißer Chef, Mr. Nox, einschreitet und mir seine Hilfe anbietet, bin ich zunächst erleichtert. Doch seine Hilfe hat einen Preis. Oh, und hier kommt der Supergau: er behauptet, er sei Luzifer. Der Teufel. Ein Gott der Sünde. Es sieht nicht gut für mich aus und ich bin gezwungen, einen Deal mit dem Teufel einzugehen. Ich weiß, was er will. Das brennende Verlangen tanzt geradezu in seinen stechend blauen Augen. Er will mich.

Sie wurde auserwählt, in den mythischen Federklingenhallen zur Walküre ausgebildet zu werden. Doch als die Walküren kommen, um meine Schwester abzuholen, nehmen sie mich mit.
