It’s a rocky road with plenty of curves ahead set in a frontier town. It’s also a powerful love story full of strong Christian values.

The Amish Way: A Father Never Known is the story of a young woman who is looking after her father, when he asks her to fetch a reclusive doctor. She does so, not knowing why he asked it of her. Later, she is asked to foster a child and grows to love the baby and in a while, she finds out who the stranger is and what he means to her and her growing family.

She looks after the children and others before she does herself, but always tries to write in her journal. It’s her way of talking to God. During the trip they all have to contend with one bad apple, the weather setting in, and the splitting up of the wagon train because of a child's injuries and need for rest.
