Ruth Ware visits the Audible studio to talk about her latest thriller, The Lying Game. Both Ware’s debut thriller, In a Dark, Dark Wood, and the follow-up, The Woman in Cabin 10, were Sunday Times top 10 best sellers in the UK and New York Times top 10 best sellers in the US. Here she talks about writing female friendships; her protagonist, Isa; and her fascination with boarding schools.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Jess Phillips, Labour MP of Birmingham Yardley since 2015. Phillips grew up in a politcally active household, which was a platform into her own political career. We’ll be chatting with Anthony Horowitz about Close to Death, the fifth installment in his Hawthorne and Horowitz detective series. We will be asking how Horowitz how he decides when he’s got a good idea, what the move from children’s to adult’s fiction was like, and why he chose to write a series with himself as a character.

Omar El Akkad joins us in the Audible Studios to discuss his debut novel, American War. Having spent 10 years as a journalist reporting on subjects such as the war in Afghanistan and military trials in Guantanamo Bay, Omar has turned his attentions to dystopian fiction in American War. Set in 2074, the novel portrays a world where climate change and political uprisings have transformed everything as we know it - and civil war has broken out in America.

A Professor of finance at Harvard Business School and a Professor of law at Harvard Law School, Mihir Desai joins us in the Audible Studios to talk about his new book, The Wisdom of Finance: Discovering Humanity in the World of Risk and Return. It's a book which aims to make the world of finance more accessible for outsiders and a more noble pursuit for insiders.

She has regularly been listed as 'sexiest female', 'woman of the year' and 'hottest sex symbol', but Ratajkowski is far more than her appearance. She is a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, and a political activist, endorsing Bernie Sanders. She has also starred in several feature films, such as Entourage, Welcome Home, and Gone Girl.

Best known for her magical role as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter series, Lynch has since branched into a stage career, including a role as Bess Houdini in Houdini, which toured the UK, and short films, such as 'My Name Is Emily'. Alongside her acting career, Lynch's activism has led her to campaign for animal rights and veganism. She has starred in short films to this end, launched a podcast titled Chickpeeps with the aim of educating others on being a vegan, and founded a cruelty-free cosmetics brand, Kinder Box.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Dan Abnett, British comic book writer and novelist, who has contributed to series for Marvel, DC Comics and Games Workshop's Black Library. Abnett is one of the Black Library's main authors, and certainly one of their best sellers. Writing within the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Abnett has authored infamous series such as Horus Heresy, Gaunt's Ghosts and Eisenhorn. Abnett has also written prolifically for Marvel and DC, as well as 2000 AD.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Christopher Paolini, author of the Inhertiance Cycle series and the youngest author of a best-selling series for The New York Times, USA Today and Publishers Weekly. Paolini's newest book has been released: The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm, from Tales of Alagaësia. Eragon has departed the world of Alagaësia in order to create a new home to train the next generation of dragon riders, to construct a dragonhold and protect dragon eggs; through these three original stories, we also see more of Eragon's personal journey.

Jason Isaacs joins us in the Audible Studios to discuss narrating The Island of Dr Moreau by H. G. Wells. Playing the iconic role of Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films as well as Dr. Hunter Aloysius 'Hap' Percy in The OA and being part of the Star Trek franchise, he is a prolific and renowned actor.
