Lightfoot the Deer is a story about animals in the Green Forest that are hunted in the fall. The story is mostly about Lightfoot, a male deer hunted by one hunter and describes how he tries to escape being shot. The story tells Lightfoot's encounter with another buck and a battle for territory and the lovely, Miss Daintyfoot. As with most Thornton Burgess books, young listeners learn valuable lessons about nature, wildlife, and positive morals.

Jerry Muskrat lives in the Smiling Pool along with many of his friends, including Grandfather Frog, Spotty the Turtle, and others. One day Jerry discovers there is something wrong with the Smiling Pool and the Laughing Brook that feeds it. Both are slowly disappearing. Jerry and his friends set out on a mission to determine what is wrong with the Smiling Pool and the Laughing Brook.

Sammy Jay is a blue jay who, like most blue jays, is mischievous. He delights in making trouble for other creatures of the Green Meadows and the Green Forest. Sammy really doesn't want to see them hurt, he just wants to make torment them. Enter Chatterer the Red Squirrel, who also lives in the Green Forest and can be as troublesome as Sammy Jay. In The Adventures of Sammy Jay, Chatterer and Sammy Jay match wits and show off their bad attitudes toward one another.

Grandfather Frog has never left the Smiling Pool. He and Mr. Toad have an ongoing disagreement about whether or not Grandfather Frog should see the Great World or remain isolated in the Smiling Pool. Finally one day, Grandfather Frog decides he will see the Great World for himself. He learns that there are hardships in the Great World that he didn’t anticipate and he must constantly be on alert for dangers not in the Smiling Pool.

A primitive band of humans, the survivors of 40 generations of a crashed space liner, struggle to survive on a planet where giant insects rule, the result of an incomplete seeding experiment because of a lost punch card. Separated from his tribe, young Burl, the main character of the story, begins to think in new ways and eventually leads his people to a better life. The audiobook is particularly interesting in that it has almost no dialogue between the characters, yet is so well written that you don't care.

Peter Rabbit discovers a surprise visitor to the Smiling Pool. It's Mrs. Quack the Duck. She and Mr. Quack have been hunted as they attempt to migrate. Mr. Quack is missing and Mrs. Quack does not know his fate. Peter Rabbit, Jerry Muskrat, Sammy Jay and Blacky the Crow decide to help Mrs. Quack by searching for Mr. Quack.

Buster Bear's Twins is a story about two new residents in the Green Forest, Boxer and Woof Woof bear. The arrival of the Green Forest's newest inhabitants has Peter Rabbit, Chatterer the Red Squirrel, Prickly Porky, Hooty the Owl, and other forest creatures all astir over the goings-on in the Bear household. The two are twin siblings of Buster Bear, who is the subject of a Thornton Burgess audiobook. The twins, under the guidance of their mother, Mrs. Bear, learn important lessons about life and survival in the Green Forest.

Old Man Coyote deliberately leads Bowser the Hound far away from Farmer Brown's farm because he is tired of being chased. Bowser gets lost and injures himself during the pursuit. Help for Bowser comes from an unlikely source, which proves that there is some good in everyone. As with all Thornton W. Burgess stories, young listeners gain positive values while learning a great deal about the animals that share their world. Burgess was a conservationist and author of children's stories. He loved the beauty of nature and its living creatures so much that he wrote about them for 50 years.

The Boy Scouts of Woodcraft Camp is the first of Thornton Burgess' Boy Scout books. It features Walter, a scout who has never been to camp. Walter and his fellow scouts experience new adventures. They discover and appreciate people of different backgrounds. As with all Thornton Burgess books, the author promotes good moral lessons for the young reader and listener.

Sammy Jay is told by the little people of the Green Forest that he is keeping them awake at night with his calling out "Thief, Thief". But Sammy isn’t calling out at night, he’s been sleeping. At least, he thinks he has. Sticky-Toes the tree toad is hearing his own voice when his mouth is shut, and he is angry and puzzled. And Unc’ Billy Possum thinks he may just have seen a friend from Ol’ Virginny who might possibly solve the mystery.

In The Adventures of Old Man Coyote, Peter Rabbit hears a new sound that frightens him and the other animals of the Green Forest. The sound is that of a new predator in the Green Forest, Old Man Coyote. Granny and Reddy Fox don’t want competition in the Green Forest and try to trick him into leaving the forest. But Old Man Coyote proves himself to be very clever and fair.

The Mosquito Fleet is a documentary about America's small but strategically important fleet of PT boats during the Second World War. After Pearl Harbor, the American Naval Fleet was at a severe disadvantage to the mighty Japanese fleet. Enter the PT or patrol torpedo boat of the US Navy. Built for speed and carrying four torpedoes, the wooden craft proved to be a significant "irritant" to the enemy in terms of their effectiveness in combat.

Farmer Brown's boy Tommy discovers an old gray stone in the pasture that magically transforms him into whatever animal he wishes to be. He shares adventures with Danny Meadow Mouse, Peter Rabbit, Old Mr. Toad, Paddy the Beaver, and others. Initially, Tommy believes that life for his furry friends is one big happy lark. But he quickly learns that life can be difficult for Mother Nature's furry creatures.

For historical buffs, Signers of the Declaration is a nonfiction work that offers short biographical sketches of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence. Outside of their colony, many of the signers were not well known. In general, the signers were individuals who happened to be delegates sent from their colony to meet in Philadelphia and organize colonial resistance to Parliament's coercive tax acts. Of the 56, only eight were born in Britain. Unknown to most Americans, the signers did not all sign the Declaration on July 4, 1776 as is commonly believed.

Peter Rabbit has no appetite, which is very unusual for him. After thinking about it, Peter decides it is loneliness affecting him. He decides to leave the Old Briar Patch and see the Great World, starting at the Old Pasture. After a close encounter with an old nemesis, Hooty the Owl, Peter discovers that he is still lonely. He runs into Old Jed Thumper who wants nothing more than to chase Peter away. Peter also discovers that Old Jed Thumper has a charming young daughter, Little Miss Fuzzy Tail, who Peter falls for. Their relationship quickly blossoms.

Paddy the Beaver is a newcomer to the Green Forest. The little people of the Green Meadows and the Green Forest are wary of strangers. They don't know what to expect of Paddy, especially when he starts building a dam and the water stops flowing to the Laughing Brook.

Ken Holt is the son of a world-famous foreign correspondent named Richard Holt. Holt travels the world and is home infrequently. Ken's mother is no longer alive and Ken lives with the Allen family. One of his closest friends is Sandy Allen. Sandy and Ken both at the Brentwood Advance, a local newspaper. Things start off innocently enough as Ken's father comes to stay with the Allen's for the Christmas holiday. Naturally he brings gifts. For Mom Allen, he has brought an ornate iron box. The box is old but apparently, not very valuable.
