Meghan Truman has cornered the desserts market in the Pacific Northwest. With her twin poodles by her side, the once-upon-a-time newbie in town is set to grow her mini empire. But Meghan has a real-life murder mystery on her hands when a pampering party for a famous painter ends with the demise of a guest. How could a girly night of fun and laughter with some tasty nibbles end on such a sour note?

Meghan Truman is honored to be invited to serve her signature tarts at the Governor’s ball. A night of glitz and glamour in the company of the handsome detective Jack Irvin is ruined for her when she experiences, firsthand, the ungracious attitude of a prominent figure that she once looked up to. Things take a turn for the worse when this insolent guest is found dead after eating a dish of ice cream. Meghan is sure she had nothing to do with it as her desserts were rejected by the deceased.

Meghan Truman is enjoying the wave of attention her presence on social media is attracting to her bakery. Particularly her lemon tarts which are getting the most likes, shares, and comments. Meghan is happy to donate some of her lemon tarts to celebrate a local Sandy Bay police officer who is soon retiring. Things go awfully wrong when the night of celebration ends in the murder of a thorn-in-the-flesh of almost everyone in town. But who would dislike the murdered victim so much to want to end a life?

Lucy Hale is excited about a new bridal shop in town, like the rest of the citizens in Ivy Creek. Perhaps the buzz about this new entity on the high street has to do more with the appearance of a famous person at its launch. When the day of the grand opening of the bridal shop arrives, the invited guests are looking forward to gazing at stunning bridal dresses, basking in the presence of a celebrity and enjoying free food! Everything seems to be going as planned until a sudden commotion leads to the death of the celebrity’s assistant.

When Meghan receives an order to bake a cake for a wealthy individual in town, she’s happy to wow them with her culinary skills. However, she’s not happy with this person’s condescending and unpleasant behavior. But she’s ready to put up with it, as she believes it’ll lead to more business. She’s in for a rude surprise when this new customer is found dead…and her treats are identified as the cause of their demise.
