The cybernetic veteran Colonel Shona Morven launches rapid attacks against civilian colonies and cities from world to world, causing destruction wherever he travels. No matter how hard the Dragoons fights, the Colonel is always one step ahead and escapes before the Dragoons can reach him. They plan to capture him by luring him to a Union shipyard on the jungle planet of Olax II. The hunt for Colonel Shona Morven begins, but he is no fool, and he put his own plan into action to draw in the dragoons to a trap he’s planned from the very beginning.

The battle takes heavy toll on Spartan’s assault force and leaves him badly wounded and in an induced coma. By the time the battered but victorious fleet reaches the Hellstorm refugee fleet, news has already arrived of their victory against the undefeatable enemy. Inspired by multiple victories, as well as critical information recovered from Alkonost, these once scattered and defeated people are united. And together they begin their holy war that will wipe away every taint of the Guardians and restore their old empire.
