I was supposed to be going to Harvard on a full ride. I’ve always been excellent at chemistry. Turns out my knack for chemicals was because my mum is a witch and a potions master. Apparently, now I’m going to Fortuna Conservatory instead, something about being the princess of Hell. Something big is happening. My birth wouldn’t have been foretold if it wasn’t. I need to unlock all of my gifts as half angel half witch because whatever is going on, I’ve only scratched the surface.

I murder the bad guys on my downtime. You could say it’s one of my favorite hobbies. If someone wanted to get rid of me, I have this entire history of arson and murder they could have used. So, who framed me for embezzling and why? And why was I sent to Scorchwood as a first-time offender? It’s in Hell because that’s where they send the truly evil to rot.

Of all the things to end up in jail for, embezzling wasn’t what I thought would bring me down. I’ve got a pretty healthy arson and murder hobby on my downtime. White collar crimes never go to Scorchwood. I should have been given a fee and probation at most. Something is going on. My cell mate Skoll is an alpha wolf in for manslaughter. He wants me to meet Roman, a vampire, and Amduscias, a demon who is really shifty about what his demonic form is.

Need to summon a demon? Raise the dead? A clan of vampires bothering you? Do you like the really nasty werewolf erotica? The Library of the Profane has all of that, but not everyone can handle the contents (Some people can’t handle their werewolf erotica). I’ve been a librarian here for five years and when I say I killed to get this job, I’m not being facetious.

Apparently, I’m not a dragon. What I am is indestructible, capable of healing mortal wounds, and Alastair can never hurt me again. From what I’m understanding, he can’t even use his old tricks if he could manage to force them down my throat. I don’t know where he is, but I’m coming for him. He killed me and hurt Oisin. I’m home in the Unseelie Court. It’s beautiful but so different than everything I ever knew. I barely have time to see everything before I have to leave again. Shortly after Alastair’s attack, my mother’s ambassador in the Seelie Court went dark with her communications.

Dorian Gray’s painting was never in the vault of the library. We currently have no idea where it is and the only person who can track it is probably being held hostage in a storage yard with all kinds of cursed objects. Balthazar’s dick is still cursed and there’s no easy way to remove it. I already made it worse once. I hope it doesn’t fall off this time. I was totally against marrying Reyson when he woke up and announced I would be his new wife, but my resolve on that is starting to weaken. I’m starting to care for the damned god.

My clients at my vet clinic have always called me an animal whisperer. I’ve never questioned it. Until I started hearing monsters, too. A man came in right at closing with a sick dog. The dog told me why he was sick, and I was able to treat him. I had no idea his owner would kidnap me. I had no idea his owner had an entire dungeon of monsters he wanted me to treat. I’ve met a minotaur, a mysterious kraken, a phoenix, and this really massive spider. I can hear them, too. If monsters are real and I can talk to them, then what am I?

After a lifetime in the foster care system, at 26, I received a strange visit. Okay, I may have made it weird, answering the door naked. I find out the truth about my parents, inherit a huge manor house and a fortune, and I find out there’s some weird prophecy about my birth. I’ve also been tricked into starting the apocalypse by this wicked-looking cat who might be the Antichrist. Did I mention the cat is named after my missing twin brother?

And then daddy dearest enters stage left. So, I met my father. I beat the crap out of him, but I haven’t killed him yet. Yet being the operative word. I still haven’t made up my mind about that. I had my to-do list before I broke out of Scorchwood and killing him was a major part of my big kill list. I mean, the man framed me, sent me to prison in Hell, then had a mad warlock experiment on me. So, now we are uneasy allies. The fate of two realms is resting on my shoulders. That doesn’t mean I might not still decide to kill him if we manage to pull this off.

I wake up surrounded by death and my memories are gone. A man in a beige hazmat suit reaches his hand through the carnage. “Come with me if you want to live.” I know I’m supposed to know that from somewhere, but I don’t. I know the world outside me is not right.

I found out why I can talk to animals and monsters. I met my father, and I wasn’t quite expecting his answers. But he does command several legions of demons, and he’s working on getting more to help us overthrow Demeter. We’re going to need all the help we can get because I don’t have enough of Hephaestus’ powder to free every single monster in the pits from being trapped in their monster form by those collars.

I was protected by the monsters under my bed when I was a kid in the foster system. I have a feeling I could use them again. My time in the foster system wasn’t great. Maybe they were imaginary, but when things got bad, the boogeyman and an imp always came to my aid. If I needed to run, a beautiful white stag would appear at my window to let me know to get out of there. I’ve touched the stag. I know he’s real.

The angels came two hundred years ago with a mission to wipe out everything the pagan gods created. The humans came together to form the Coalition to hunt us for them. We disappear and end up in various places to be experimented on. I ended up in New Eden Asylum. The nuns and priests keep me in a padded room in the basement with all the deadlier supernaturals. They don't experiment on me and try to cure me like the others because I'm too dangerous to be in the same room with. I don't know how long I've been here, but I haven't seen or spoken to anyone in a very long time.

I know why no one said anything when Zeus came to the underworld. I know there’s a plan to get Hephaestus back. There’s also a lot I don’t know that I need to learn fast. I have this mysterious demonic form from my father that I need to learn to access. Hephaestus made all these weapons capable of taking down Olympians if they came, but I don’t know how to use them. I’m not going to get lucky again like I did with Demeter. I have to learn all this, and if I don't, I’ll be grounded in my room when everyone tries to rescue my God.

I survived my first year at Fortuna Academy. Lucifer met my mates, and it wasn’t totally mortifying. I met Azriel’s mom, and she’s not that bad. We’re all back at school, and we have a mission: find that prophecy and figure out who tried to poison Keane. Everyone in our group has a least favorite hellhound they suspect of doing the deed, but really, we have nothing. That is, until Lilith comes through with information from school records. Both hellhounds that have been harassing me have secrets, but this one ties back to Keane and the Lilim.

Aeron had every opportunity to explain the horses that were haunting my drawings. I asked him several times about his crazy zombie-killing horse. He omitted to tell me he was the Horseman of Death until Leif let it slip he was the Horseman of Pestilence when he introduced himself to me. I don’t know who I’m madder at—Aeron for lying to me or me for just ignoring all the clues and telling myself there was no way it was possible and trusting him.

I’m used to demons and voodoo. What I was not prepared for was my life turning into a fairytale, complete with the Wicked Step Mother. My awful step mother is the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. She’s always hated me for being a Succubus. It just got a hundred times worse after my father died mysteriously. I inherited the family company, but I can’t remove her as VP because she’s made the entire board into her zombies.

Rook has Misty. He’s not taking another person we love, even if we all have to die to save her. The FBI failed us. We failed Misty. Ziva said trust no one at the station, but Casey got a call from someone we cleared about Jake and Dillion. Ziva ghosted us when we needed her the most. Ziva continued to ghost us while Rook has Misty. The instructions are clear. We are all summoned to a warehouse. We are to come unarmed, with no backup and no weapons. We all know we could be walking to our deaths. We know Misty could already be dead.
