Scout Randall is more than a witch on a motorcycle. She’s more than the magic she wields. That’s why she joined the Spell’s Angels, a biker group with offices all across the world.

Scout Randall is settling in with the Northern Lower Michigan branch of Spell’s Angels. She’s feeling bold, brash, and just a little bit flirty, thanks to her burgeoning relationship with Gunner Stratton, a shifter whose father happens to serve as the chief of police in Hawthorne Hollow. Things are going well...until they’re not.

Scout Randall is on the verge of getting information about her past. Patience has never been one of her virtues, though. As she’s waiting for her source to get settled, a new problem arises...and it has fangs. When she was a kid, a chance encounter in a park left Scout questioning the existence of monsters. Now, one of those potential monsters is back, and he’s taken up residence in Hawthorne Hollow. He isn’t alone, either.

Scout Randall needs answers on a past she can’t remember...and when an associate introduces her to an individual who claims to have known her family way back when, she believes those answers might finally be accessible. That falls by the wayside, though, when a tanned vampire lands in her backyard in the middle of the night...and he has a magical teenager in tow. Sami Winters is all mouth and determination...and she’s looking for her parents. Scout wants to help, but handling a teenager like Sami isn’t as easy as it looks on the surface.

It’s up to Spell’s Angels to figure out what’s going on, and because nothing is ever easy for Scout, the investigation is going to be harder than she imagined. Scout is a fighter, but the world is closing in on her. She’s going to need her new coworkers and the family she doesn’t know to help her out on this one...and even then, nothing is a given. The road before her is winding, but answers are finally here. Scout will finally know what she is. Whether she survives long enough to benefit from the knowledge is completely up in the air.

Now she has to grapple with another problem. When her former partner Evan was believed dead in a vampire attack, she blamed herself, mourned, and tried to move on. Now he’s back, and he’s more than anybody ever imagined, too. Unfortunately, nobody can find him.

When Scout Randall’s past came into focus, she thought the hard part was behind her. She was wrong. Now, not only is she dealing with a day-walking vampire who has all the strengths and none of the weaknesses associated with his kind, but there’s also a new bloodsucker in town...and this one is out for revenge.

Scout Randall thought killing the master vampire threatening those she loved would make everybody safe. She was wrong. One dying utterance changed everything. Yolanda Stratton haunts Hawthorne Hollow like an oily shadow of death. Gunner, the son she tried to kill, tries to pretend that he doesn’t care that she might have answers. He’s not fooling anybody. Graham, the husband who wishes he would’ve killed her 20 years before, is resigned to the games she will play. And Scout? She’s ready to face off with the face of abject evil, even if it comes at a cost.

Scout Randall’s life has turned from bad to worse. With her boyfriend’s murderous mother on the loose, that means she’s a target. But where will the attack come from? Scout thought they would have time to figure things out, time to regroup and come up with a plan. She was wrong. The next enemy is on their doorstep.

Her parents have arrived on the scene, and it turns out that they’ve been hiding in the shadows for years waiting for her. The prophecy that foretold her winning what should be an unwinnable war has enemies crawling out of the woodwork. And, worst of all, she’s grappling with the realization that one of her own has betrayed her.

Winter has descended on Hawthorne Hollow like a chilly blanket, and all Scout Randall wants to do with her days is snuggle in bed with her gas station chicken and wait for spring to arrive. Nothing in her life ever goes the way she planned, however. There are gods afoot, as if Scout didn’t have enough to deal with. The Nordic goddess Skadi is in town, and she has something specific on her mind.

Baron Samedi does what he wants, when he wants. Right now he wants to learn as much as he can about the new pixie apex…and the lamia apex who is gunning for her. He doesn’t care who he annoys as he gathers his information. Scout’s plan is to ignore him—after all, she has ghouls and random fires to deal with and he’s up to mischief one town over—but it becomes apparent quickly that the loa is in town for more than just a spying mission. It seems Bonnie is no longer in danger of dying. She’s mastered her new reality and now she has a plan.
