Jayden

At the worst moment, our little toy tries to run from us. She dares to act like she isn’t ours. So, I hunt her down and force her to remember who she belongs to. But she puts up a fight and tries to get under my skin. No one has gotten under my skin except Cole, and she does it so easily. It makes me livid. Angry. Afraid.

Cole

Jayden is losing it. As soon as we get Jo back, we’re forced to run from the law. I watch Jayden fall apart, taking the rest of us down with him.

Mary Jo

I tried to hide, but they found me. The more time I spend with them, the more I find they want to tear me apart and look at what’s inside. My secrets aren’t safe, and neither am I. It all comes down to the question: do I run and hide? Or do I stand strong and face whatever they have to offer me?

Better Hide is the sequel to Better Run in the Run and Hide Duet. It is not meant to be listened to as a standalone. There is dark and disturbing content. Please check the author’s warnings before listening. This book is only suitable for those over 18.

I liked everything about it, both books together, the second one made the first one better.

The character development at the end to top off the spice in every chapter was ideal.

I listen to a lot of dark romance and like this author. Since books are not real life, I didn't mind some of the triggers.
She can also write fantastic spice. I hear plenty of spicy books, but this duology stood out

Wish this author had more then two books

So much trauma. In these books parents don’t treat their kids like they’re worth anything. They are just horrible. In this the second book in the duet the reader finds out the details of what happened when they were kids. This story as a whole was so good. I read/listened to it and the narrators were so, so good. There was not good communication with the 3 main characters. They were at each other’s throats a lot, especially towards the end. This book was well-written, witty and the banter was pretty good. I was hoping they would succeed as a threesome. This story started out heartbreaking and heart wrenching and ended heartwarming. I found myself brought to tears more than once. In real life they probably wouldn’t have gotten away with so much. There was significant growth of the characters in this book, and because of this it made me happy to see where their lives were ending up. I loved this duet and would definitely recommend it.

"Will I break her this time? What will she do after she breaks? Will she fall apart in my hands and let me hold the pieces?" Jayden

What a freaking amazing ride! I fell hard for Jayden and Cole, as unhinged as they are, I wanted them to finally feel love. This book picks up right where book 1 ends, I enjoyed getting a glimpse into each of their pasts. Jo, Jayden, and Cole are each living with trauma that has set them on the paths they've taken, and I loved seeing them grow and work through that trauma. Call me twisted, but I enjoyed the k!nks and heat in this duet. This series has amazing character development and a very intriguing storyline.

Katrina Medina and Nowhere Eternity are once again absolutely phenomenal in this! Katrina's soft sultry tone seamlessly transitions from fiesty Jo to scared Jo. I loved her ability to embody this character and bring her to life, which elevated the listening experience. Nowhere Eternity performs Jayden and Cole with sheer excellence. His range from deep and growly Jayden to a more tender Cole is perfection. I swear there were times I was nervous when he went real deep for Jayden. I loved both of their performances.

Absolutely LOVE
