This is so good but I'm having a hard time finishing it because the female narrator will not stop dramatically gasping, even at the parts that aren't supercharged with action! There is plenty of action though. The character development is awesome. The writing is fantastic. The sex scenes are creative and the author's word usage is excellent. Great job by the male narrator. Perfect voice for Xero. He is perfectly smoldering and a bit unhinged. I'm just getting annoyed at the shocked sounds because this character is moving from victim to empowered bada$$ but she sounds on the verge of hyperventilating even during a revenge scene! However I love this, so will not rage quit just yet.

Yes, I'm glad I waited for book 2 to come out. ONCE AGAIN the narrators KILT it 🔥🫰🏾🔥🫰🏾. This may be asking for a lot, but may we please get a book 3. Xero and Amethyst story has me hooked and to imagine where they started from. Oowweeee, spicy, spicy, spicy. 🚨 TAKE HEED TO THE TRIGGER WARNINGS 🚨 and enjoy and amazing love story.

It picks back up where it left off on book one. Then it's a series of twists & turns & slow burns to the point. Not a flow like the first book, but overall good. I would say this one is harder to follow than the first. The plot was mid, but saving grace was the spice 🌶🤌🏻 at some points, it's the only thing that kept me interested. *****SPOILER**** I did not! enjoy the journal entries. Felt unnecessary & a waste of a drawn out conclusion that could've been explained in a chapter instead of drawn out for hourssss.. overall good, but I would not re-listen to the whole book. Just my bookmarks 😏🤐😅

I thought that both parts of this story came together in the best way. The raw emotion of this story just made me shake with anticipation and thrills. I've read all your books now, and I personally can't wait for more. Also, can't figure out if I like Xero or Leroy better, lol.
