This book was SO fantastic in every way! Gem may just be my favorite character of all time. I laughed out loud multiple times. And of course this narrator, also my favorite, knocked it out of the park! Thank you Nik Knight and Michael Lesley!

I am so happy to hear Gem and Rusty’s story! I have never laughed so much! The love and acceptance these two have for each other is beautiful! The narrator is an amazing performer, and I couldn’t see these characters acting any other way. Definitely a must read (but do it in book order 😉)! You won’t regret it!

This was just the right time to delve into Rusty and Gem’s story. This one has all the qualities that got me hooked on this series. Definitely worth a listen. And the narrator does just as amazing a job as always. Looking forward to the next one.

I read this book (with my eyes) when it first came out, but I’ve been eagerly awaiting the audio version because I adore Michael Lesley’s performance in the previous two books and missed all his characterizations when I had to read it by myself. And he’s amazing as always. His Gem is incredible- the little choices he makes are hysterical. But as is standard for him, every one of the characters is distinct and perfectly acted. A lot of narrators rely on only the quality of their voices, but Michael ACTS every second.

Gem and Rusty are my favorite couple in the series. Gem is the ultimate sunshiny character and he’s both sweet and so funny. And Rusty is heartbreaking and precious. I’m so glad we get to live in this world for a third time.

I adore both MMCs. This book (and the sublime narration) had me laughing so hard at times and almost tearing up at others. I loved this story so much.
