Romantic erotica always runs the risk of pushing one’s kinky imagination to the point of disbelief.
Online is a very hot interpretation of a woman’s midlife realization that her sexual identity and needs have been wrong and her attempt to “rectify “ her life by plunging head first into a torrid, and what she believes will be, brief with a total stranger.
For those of us who have been fortunate enough to mirror that same decision, it will bring back fond images of what passionate abandon and self discovery are all about.

In Online, I love how a virtual relationship becomes real, how what started as “just sex” for both characters and an experiment for Valerie becomes so much more for both and an entire journey for Valerie. I like how different both characters are and how open they are to pushing boundaries. Val, in particular, keeps stepping out of her comfort zone, which shows both how brave she can be and how safe Syd makes her feel even as she unsettles her. Madeleine Taylor writes these situations perfectly, the self-discovery, the temptation, the letting go. Tessa Stavers‘ narration is as good as usual, even though I found it slightly too dramatic at times. But I liked her voices for the different characters.

I listened to twice. All I can say is wow! Tessa voice is amazing to listen to. You can really feel the emotions of the characters. Hot, very hot!

Cute spicy story, worth the credit. Generally I like longer listens, and rarely revisit, probably will with this one. Not my typical read but I really enjoyed this.
