Lark is a lawyer who entersa charity auction and is bid on by the owner of Carnal Series, Lackland MacKenzie. She must spend a week with him in his home fulfilling his desires. The week is steamy and she learns he is not the criminal she assumed. Skyler Morgan does a great job with the narration.

The Story
+I really enjoyed this book. The story is about a man named Lachlan who owns a kink club and Lark a woman who does not like him. The two begin a relationship and she realizes he's not all that bad and she's far more into kink than she thought. Lark also works at a law firm and is working on a murder case that is far closer to Lachlan and his community than she thinks.

I enjoyed seeing the relationship progress between the two characters and the sex scenes were steamy. The second half of the book is where things start getting interesting. I do have to admit there wasn't as much mafia stuff as I'm used to and most of the book does simply focus on Lark and Lachlan's relationship which isn't a bad thing but I think the story might have worked well even without the mafia elements. All in all I thought it was a good story and am interested to see where the series goes.

The Narration
Skyler Morgan is a new to me narrator and I loved his voice. It reallly draws you into the story. He does a good female voice without sounding bad like some male narrators do. The only thing I want to mention is that the main character has an accent but I'm not sure if Skyler was trying to do one or not? If he was trying to do the accent it was very subtle. Although this doesn't distract from the story I thought it was worth mentioning. Definitely will be listen to more books narrated by him.

Lark and Lachlan

The single narrator was very confusing as there was no change in the tone of voice. The recoding was cut off at the beginning of each chapter and each change of character so you couldn’t tell which character was speaking. Also every time the narrator had to stop and begin again the begin was cut off so again you are not able to hear every word.

It kept me on my toes to the very last Carnival word. I thought this story was amazing If you're a lover of dark sexy storys This is the story for you .
Skyler did an amazing job narrating this really great story.
