The Stallion by Jacqueline Parker is not your typical romance. From the moment Bria is forced into a marriage of convenience with Dallas, you know sparks are going to fly, but what makes this story so addictive is how quickly that forced bond becomes an explosive, all-consuming connection.

What I loved most is how Parker isn’t afraid to make these characters messy. Dallas starts off as controlling and cold, but as the story unfolds, you see his possessiveness hide a brutal need to protect Bria, even when it pushes her away. And Bria doesn’t bow to him. She fights him at every turn, and their constant push and pull makes their eventual surrender feel that much more earned.

The secret society backdrop adds a dangerous edge; betrayal comes from all sides, and Bria’s choices cost her more than just her pride. One of the most gut-punching moments is when Dallas risks everything to keep her safe, even when it means breaking the very rules that once defined him.

The duet narration is phenomenal. Amanda L’Orien breathes fire and resilience into Bria, while Caden Hart nails Dallas’s mix of dominance and vulnerability. Together, they bring the danger, the passion, and the heartbreak right into your ears.

This is a dark, passionate story about survival, trust, and the risk of giving your heart to someone who could destroy you or save you. By the time the last chapter closed, I felt like I had been through the fire with them.

After finishing The Bloke I was so excited to listen to Dallas and Bria’s story and I was definitely not disappointed!

Amanda and Caden were excellent narrators! This was my first listen to both of them and thoroughly enjoyed their talents!

Ever since I first heard Caden Hart in Kage he has slowly been becoming one of my favorite new male narrators. And his portrayal of Dallas just sealed him being in my top 10 favorite male narrators. This is also the first audiobook for me with Amanda L’ Orien, I don’t believe I’ve heard any of her narrations before and that’s something I love whenever I get to hear new narrators I’ve not heard before because she absolutely just did a phenomenal job as our FMC Bria. Kind of quick a little overview of the book is Bria is the cheerleading captain of the university. She is going to and she is recently just exited a six year relationship so to try and cheer her up her friends take her to Vegas and while she’s there, they are at club where they meet our MMC, Dallas, who is a male dancer there and he’s also a hired unaliver and leader of a secret society and once he lays his eyes on on Bria, he is completely utterly obsessed with her and wants nothing more than to make her his. And those are the type of MMC that we love to see, we all love to see the obsessive just first glance they’re like you’re mine now and I will do whatever I need to do to prove that to you, those are the MMC‘s I love reading about. And if you think Dallas is the only unhinged one, you would be completely wrong because Bria is just as completely unhinged as he is and that’s what makes them so freaking perfect together. This is just one of those stories that once you get into it there’s no backing away. There’s no stopping. You have to finish it from the time you started it because you don’t want to put it down because you are just so taken in that moment. This has some of my favorite tropes in it like marriage of convenience, secret societies, instant lust, force proximity, he falls first and both of them are unhinged. Thank you so much again to bluenose audio for allowing me to be a part of their team. I had such a great time with this one, and I can’t wait to see where the author goes with the remainder of the series!

The Stallion is the second book in the Men Under Review series. This is a dark dancer romance, marriage of convenience romance. Dallas was born into the MUR secret society. He has worked his way up and is about to become the leader of his crew. Dallas has to get married to claim his leadership status. Bria is the captain of the cheerleading squad at her college. They are about to head to the championships. Her boyfriend goes missing after he broke up with her. They had been together for the last seven years. Bria and her friends go for a night in Vegas and go to a MUR show. Dallas pretends to be a waiter before the show to scope out any available women. He is interested in Bria from the first sight. The girls have meet and greet tickets with the men after the show. Bria just needs an escape. She stumbles into Dallas’s office. He makes a move on her and has decided she will be his wife. This book was amazing. I can’t wait for more from this series.

Amanda L’Orien and Caden Hart did a phenomenal job narrating this book in duet style narration.

The Stallion , a dark dancer romance had two amazing voice actors bring it to life. Amanda L'Orien was the perfect choice to voice Bria, who is sassy with a secret. Caden Hart never disappoints in anything I’ve listened to by him. And it a duet narration, which is my favorite. Dallas is part of a secret society who takes out bad guys. But they also are a legacy family of dancers, spicy ones. When Dallas sees Bria at one of his shows its insta attraction. Let’s just say things really start to heat up after the show. Bria is the cheer captain with a jerk boyfriend who ghosted her, who will heal that broken heart? The tropes are amazing, my favorites are lust to love, marriage of convenience, pierced, obsessed MMC, PLOT TWIST!!
