The selections were wonderful, but they were poorly red. I learned in elementary school not to pause at the end of every line of poetry, but to follow the sentence flow. The constant pauses spoiled the beauty of the poems and was jarring.

Wonderful poetry and a mediocre narrator. What a shame. I wish he had some interest in what he was reading.

Great poems; mediocre narrator

Read through the poetry book. It is wonderful and will make a great addition to my library. It has brought back my enjoyment of reading poetry the audible was great.

This is an excellent book of poetry for the novice reader or the aficionado. I found in it some of my most favorite poems such as
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, The Road Not Taken, The Raven, Anabel Lee, just to name a few. I liked the narrator's voice because it was soft and he spoke in perfect cadence with each poem.

Beautiful collection of poems

The poems are read in a sing-songy way that someone who doesn’t like poetry would read them, over accenting the rhythms and rhyme. It is a decent selection of poems. Too bad they are so poorly read.
My other complaint about this audio-book is that there is no contents page or any way to go to a particular poem. You just have to listen from the beginning to the end. The sample/intro sounds like Peter Coyote, but that is not who reads them.
