Dreams are coming true in Siobhan Naught's village—and it's killing them all.

Siobhan is struggling with loneliness after her mother's death, but even though her grandfather is the only one she has left, he’s more interested in his secretive research than his granddaughter. But when a mysterious stranger arrives to help him with his work, nightmarish phenomena begin to plague their village.

As her neighbors are bewitched by vivid dreams, the town seems to teeter on the brink of madness. Siobhan is the only one who notices.

With her grandfather growing more secretive by the day, Siobhan is determined to uncover the truth before it's too late.

But some doors are locked for a reason.

When dreams become real, nightmares come to life.

A Builder of Dreams is set seven years before the events of the main story, but should be listened to in sequence with the other books in the series to avoid spoilers.

Most stories that dance around a pivotal event dig a hole that they never satisfactorily climb out of. By the time we truly learn about the event, it's been built to a level that causes it to be a let down when you finally learn it.

I have really enjoyed the story and I feared that this book would be that let down. especially when it is by far the worst rated story in the series. This story was not a let down and the quality remained the same or better than past books.

I can only guess that the story was too dark for some readers but what did people really expect? That the locked away memories that have created all of these issues was just a bad day?

Fantastic addition to the series, thank you for the excellent writing and voice acting!

Well done!

We get the story of her childhood. It is sad and frightening. While previous books focused on school and learning magic interspersed with excitement , this book mostly focused on building a foreboding sense of doom and then the unfolding horror. It will keep you on the edge of your seat but does include imagery much more disturbing than in previous books.

Horrifying

The narrator does a fantastic job like always.

Getting this backstory answers some questions, yet it produces more in the process(in a good way). I can't wait for book 7!

A+ addition to my all time favorite book series

I bought this book to continue the story I have been listening to. I did not realize it was going to be all flashback. The problem with all flashback is that there is no new outcome in the end, just a return to the same moment with the original tension I wanted resolved.

The amount of extra drama and detail could have been edited by 75%. And this book was only 9ish hours long. It feels like a disrespect for me as the reader for the sake of another book payday! I am torn, this series is so much better than her last. And her writing has matured into some thing nearly brilliant. However this flashback book has me considering swearing off the rest of this series and Azalea entirely!

Wish I had looked closer!
