So much LOVE and Emotion

Loved that Jamie is Whiskey, his physical description. Jamie surely had the slow burn in more ways than one. The finale was definitely worth waiting for. I enjoyed the additional chapters with Jamie’s point of you! The longest read for me, but could not stop listening!!

Whew… this book had me in a chokehold from page one. It’s wild, emotional, stubborn, and beautifully toxic in that way only a twenty-something heartbreak saga can be. I found myself talking to the pages like they could hear me, shaking my head, rolling my eyes, and still flipping right to the next chapter because Kandi Steiner does not let you breathe.

The writing is lyrical without trying too hard, and the tension? Lord. It felt like watching two people dance around each other for years, knowing the music was about to cut off but praying they’d find the beat in time. And even when they didn’t, I couldn’t look away.

This story reminded me how love can be the sweetest burn and the hardest truth. It’s messy, frustrating, and real… just like the kind of love most of us pretend we’ve never experienced.

If you’ve ever had a “right person, wrong time” moment in your life, this one will hit you right in the chest.

A beautifully written emotional whirlwind. I devoured it.

Narration is Phenomenal!!

When I say this book took me through EVERY emotion. Between the narration, the characters, the storyline, the structure…Gahhhh. READ THIS BOOK!! But you can’t just read it, you HAVE TO immersive read it bc that hits on a whole different level !!

This book sent me through all the emotions in the best way!
I am so happy how both characters were able to really self reflect at the end (mainly B). The Narration though was TOP TIER! I love when the narrators really act out the emotions and not just read the words. I felt every punch to the gut because of the voice actors! Bravo 👏
