This book was an amazing journey, two separate yet connected love stories, one told through letters and experiences during WW2 and the other during the present with the great granddaughters life, a truly unique and wonderful book.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Let me tell you what an EMOTIONAL experience this story was. The narration was absolutely phenomenal, perfectly capturing the two storylines, bringing tears and joy with each chapter. I felt as if I was in war torn England with Scarlett and Jameson, the worry and heartache over whether either would survive the unthinkable air raids and bombings and whether love could keep them together. I knew from the blurb that heartache was on the horizon but holy hell my heart was not prepared for what I experienced. I ended up having to read a few scenes in the book before listening because the anxiety was real. Their story is unforgettable, such a beautiful yet gut wrenching love in the time of war.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Then on the flip side we also have the love/hate relationship between Scarlett’s great granddaughter, Georgia and Noah, the man tasked to finish Scarlett’s last story, her own love story. Noah definitely stole my heart, wanting to give Scarlett’s story the ending it deserved, the fact that he was the romantic over Georgia had me swooning. Watching them fall in love was the perfect balm to my heartache over the emotions of the war. Their banter and love story was the happiness I needed. And OH BOY, Georgia’s mother evoked a few moments of me yelling out loud at her, she was the perfect “villain” of the story along with Georgia’s ex husband, Georgia really deserved the world after putting up with them. This story is definitely one I recommend experiencing for yourself, it truly touched my heart.

Such a timeless classic love story. It's not just one love story but two told in alternate timelines. The first is Jameson and Scarlett. Their timeline is during the 1940s in the time before World War II. Their love is beautiful, sweet, classic love stories that many have from their grandparents. The other timeline is Scarlett’s granddaughter who is working to finish Scarlett's last love story, hers. Georgia has hired Noah a romance writer to help finish the novel. This story is beautifully written. Timeless, classic. The audio narrators, Tim Paige and Carly Robins, are truly talented. They did a fantastic job telling this story.
