Kisses Sizzle but Plot Fizzles

Wilder kicks off Rebecca Yarros' Renegade series with a sweet romance that has its share of flaws. While the overall story is enjoyable, the excessive descriptions of "dirty kisses" become repetitive, leaving you feeling like ok ok enough already.

The secret Paxton keeps from Leah is understandable, but its revelation feels about as well-explained as quantum physics to a toddler.

Despite these shortcomings, the book has its charms. The character development, particularly Leah's journey from wallflower to wonder woman, is noteworthy. However, the pacing issues and somewhat clumsy handling of the central conflict prevent Wilder from reaching its full potential. Fans of new adult romance may still find it an entertaining read, but be prepared for some frustrating moments and plot holes big enough to drive a truck through.

great book keep me listening the whole time. I loved the love story. keep me interested the whole entire time. I was reading it and listening to it.

I love reading a Rebecca Yarros book, especially a series, knowing that I will not be able to let it go and then listening to the book(s) and falling in love with them all over again! And Audiobooks are just so cool & so fun! I love enjoying my favorite books in both worlds! Anyways, I absolutely loved this! The narrators were perfect & the story was exciting, of course! I was totally engrossed in it & I loved how the narrators brought these 2 characters that I love, to life! This is the first time I have listened to Christian Fox narrate and just WOW. ❤️👏🏼🙌🏼 So perfect for Paxton who is, also, just WOW. 🖤 I will definitely be searching for more of his books. 😊

adventure and love

this is a well narrated story of adventure, love and a bit of mystery. It was hard to walk away from and can't wait to dive into the next book in the series.

Familiar Storyline

The narrators did a solid job. The storyline seemed predictable based on other books by Yarros. Different setting but similar to another series.
