Auntie Mame amazing!👏👏👏

Picked up right where the movie with Rosalin Russel ended. I never knew this was a book. As a kid I watched Auntie Mame thinking how wonderful it would have been to have an Auntie like that. Now this part 2 was just as amazing. loved it as much as I loved dreaming of my very own Auntie Mame.

The most magnificent book ever!!!

The narration is brilliant and every time it’s over I’m in tears……❤️. You have to listen to this book at least three or four times because there’s so much humor in it that you don’t catch with the first go round of the second go round or the third ground round… get out your knitting and enjoy!!

A classic!

If you don’t know Patrick Dennis and his famous Aunt Mame, there’s a HUGE empty hole in your life. You’re missing out on a hilarious and insightful romp with a character who can be as knowing as a seer or maddeningly oblivious, depending upon her intentions.
Mame is tolerant of almost everyone. Everyone, that is, except the deliberately shallow, the hypocritical and/or the bigots of the world.
If you haven’t read Auntie Mame or it’s sequel, Around the World with Auntie Mame, you need to do that before you die. She will entertain you as no other, I promise.
Every book Patrick Dennis wrote is top notch and deserves to be in Audible’s collection. And the narrator, Christopher Lane, is terrific, by the way.
You’ll have fun.

Hilarious!

Hilarious, campy fun. The narrator’s voice (17yo Patrick Dennis) is dry, irreverent and biting. The scrapes he gets in with Auntie Mame are over the top and fun to follow. What really makes this a hit is the excellent voice acting of Christopher Lane.
