"***A Single Dad/ Nanny, Steamy Hockey Romance***
It was only supposed to be one-hot-night in Vegas with a total stranger. We even agreed not to exchange names or occupations. So how in the hell did I end up in Seattle standing on the front stoop of his mansion as the new live-in nanny two weeks later?

Well, turns out Karma works quick because I stole something that night off the sexy stranger's nightstand before I snuck out of his room without saying goodbye and now, I'm going to pay for it.

I never steal! I'm practically an honorary Eagle Scout but he said it was his lucky charm and as of lately, my life has seemed void of any luck for quite some time. But now with his ruggedly handsome face sporting a brutal scowl that's usually reserved for his opponents on the ice, I think I'm going to need that lucky charm to do it's magic.

I'd happily turn right around and walk back down the driveway but unfortunately... I need this job to buy me a little more time after completely draining my savings to avoid my ex-fiancé and his new girlfriend.

Kaenan only needs help for ten weeks during the hockey season and then I'll head back to face the music and return to my old life in Colorado...

Wow that ending though! WTF? I loved the book and then it just kind of ended? I guess it was a HEA but like it was so abrupt and left me hanging thinking it was going on to the next chapter. Wish there was a little more. Performance was pretty great by the narrators.

Ended Abruptly

So far I love this series and all the characters. When I'm cleaning the house or driving I like to listen to books. The male narrator was AMAZING 👏! However, the female narrator came up short. she did well on all the female voices, but when she tried to imitate a male voice she came off sounding like a Italian preteen male. It was really creepy. Especially during the intimate moments. I had to switch to my kindle and just read it.

I didn't like the female narrator.

Agree with most of the other reviews, it just ended so abruptly. Need more chapters or a novella of them as family, her new business, a wedding, more kids? Just ended so quickly after all the back and forth.

Liked it a lot except there needs to be more chapters

Story cute - not great. Female narration just ok (the rest of the series was so good) but her “male” narration reminded me of a creepy grandpa and should be worked on…Male narration was perfect.

Least favorite of series but still ok

I enjoyed the story but…it ended very abruptly and much too easily-no conversation/explanation or even surprise from either character about crucial misunderstandings. Without giving spoilers, I felt that many areas that could have been explored or made into more meaningful events and conversations were glossed over. I really wanted to love this one because it is a favorite trope and theme, but I only liked it. I enjoyed the first book more and actually skipped to this one bcs I was intrigued and wanted to hear their story.
Narration was fine, but the female narrator made him have a southern drawl while Lee Samuels definitely doesn’t. It was not a deal breaker but I did not care for the missmatch. I wish the female narrator would have stuck with a more gruff voice when reading the male part, especially since she actually commented in the book that his mother sounded southern but she did not remember him having a southern drawl!

Very abrupt ending
