Devon Sanders, a private investigator known for his efficiency and discretion, is planning on being alone for the holiday season. His plans change when a case takes him to a small town in the mountains, where he learns that it's not such a small world after all.

Dylan Yatunus just wanted to give his family a chance to live a normal life for a while. As the Guardian of Earth who has already fought demon and god alike, he is used to defending his world, but when the children of his small town are endangered, it might be a little too close to home.

A good short story that combines characters from both the Guardian series and the Elemental series. I've only listened to the Elemental series with Devon but there are enough details to follow the story from both sides.

The story has peaked my interest in the characters from the other series, so I plan to listen to the Guardian series next. The characters seem interesting and it's narrated by Todd Menesis as well.

The story covers a period before Christmas where children are going missing and the toys are being very naughty. There's a freaky clown doll, so if you're afraid of clowns you might want to skip. Devon is brought on to investigate, while Dillion and his children assist.

3 Stars 🌟🌟🌟- Good Book. I like the overall concept and it was delivered well. Most common ranking for a book I enjoyed and look forward to the next.
