And when the two sisters are thrown into this realm, they have to fight like they've never fought before. Just when they think they've found a safe haven, Josephine gets kidnapped by a dark king. Sunny will stop at nothing to get her sister back. Even if it means trusting the general of said dark king.

acceptable fantasy/sci-fi cross-over adventure

The story is acceptable as a whole, and the narrator did an excellent job maintaining my interest even when the story lagged.

I disliked how much the authors drew on our modern world to create their fantasy realm. It lead to some very irritating inconsistencies. I just can't see people living in a world with hover cars, technologically advanced communication devices and magical abilities, using spears, arrows and throwing knives. It just doesn't work in my mind.

The authors also slip into the pitfalls of amateur writing, telling far too much and using far too many adjectives. If I have to hear the word "suggestively" one more time, I might puke...

The narrator is very good. I liked the effort she put into her work and her voices were fun, helping to bring the characters to life.

Even they couldn’t keep up with the talent of Payton Taylor! Fortunately I have several charging at once. I didn’t want anything to distract me from this unique and amazing world Payton Taylor created!
Jillian Yetter is a delightful narrator that helps bring the story into your mind seamlessly!
