I have loved Agatha Christie’s stories since I was a little girl. I think David Suchet has played Hercule Perot so well. It was wonderful to hear him read this book and play out the characters.

David Suchet is wonderful!

No one can surprise like Agatha Christie and David Suchet’s performance is just delightful. I’ve never actually read one of the books bc I enjoy the performances so much! Esp David Suchet and Hugh Fraser.

For some reason, this was an Agatha Christie for which I did not remember “who done it,” after having read it years ago. It was fun to listen to the exceptional narration of David Suchet to hear the ingenious solution revealed. As another reviewer wrote, he is Hercule Poirot. Furthermore, his range of voices for the other characters was astounding. (Mrs. Masterson was a hoot.).
I enjoyed the comments of Ms. Oliver on her writing process and how difficult it is to explain to others. I suspect Ms. Christie had fun describing her personality, hair changes and garish clothing choices in the few stories in which she appears.
Enjoy the experience!

Exceptional!

Nobody surpasses Agatha Christie. And nobody reads it like David Suchet. It’s is truly unbelievable that all these “voices” come only from one person. Excellent mystery. Super narration.

Nobody better
