Do you feel like you need something, all the time?

Does your brain run on stimulation, quick satisfaction, and immediate gratification?

You’re most likely one of many experiencing an issue that has slowly wrapped its hands around the throat of modern society at large—and that is dopamine addiction. In a world where a laugh and a cry are both a click away at any given moment, we’ve grown accustomed to getting what we want, right when we want it.The effect that repeated instant gratification has on brain chemistry is significant, and harmful. In the groundbreaking guide Dopamine Detox, you’ll rethink your daily actions, and quite literally rewire your brain for healthier, more optimal function. Topics explored include:

  • The science behind dopamine dependence, and how to avoid it
  • The complete steps involved in a dopamine detox
  • Post detox maintenance tips to keep your healthy habits going
  • The truth about multitasking, and how to deal with it.
  • The secret power of intermittent detoxes
  • And much more

When our addiction to immediate results begins to affect our daily lives, productivity, and overall happiness, it’s time to act, quickly. We are exposed to unhealthy, unnatural reward pathways all day, every day. The longer we let ourselves fall victim to them, the deeper the hole we’ll have to climb out of. Nothing great in life happens immediately. Set yourself up for long-term success and satisfaction.

This helped me get out of the rut I was in and regain control over my obsessive thoughts and the daily, mindless behaviors that were holding me back from being truly productive. I'd heard about the dopamine detoxes in the news before, but never knew how transformative they could be or where to even start, so I loved how this audiobook provided realistic action plans that explained exactly what activities to avoid and what to expect. It's a great listen for people trying to break bad habits or those who are on a journey towards addiction recovery.

Excellent listen for changing behavior

This book points out the numerous ways so many of us are addicted to things that give us pleasure or take our minds off the things we should be doing. Dopamine is the culprit. This book shows what it does to us and how to break the dopamine habit. Everyone should read this and learn how to control this brain chemical.

Addicted to dopamine is no joke.

I like the fact that it is a short read, free of unnecessarily long anecdotes and unwelcome character involvements. I personally hate books hovering over the border of fantasy and self-help genre. So I am glad to announce that it is a purely self help book and it did help me. I did notice some repetitive content, but nevertheless I manged to gather some useful insights and fresher outlook on certain concepts. I found the 'action-steps' discussed in the book very practical, doable and most importantly, very helpful. Which made me more open to actually try and benefit from a digital detox. Since author said she reads the reviews, I would actually like say to her : thank you!!

A practical guide that, instructs and encourages.
