Before the Agency came Delta.

Before Delta was the Army Rangers.

That’s where Jason Trapp was made.

Iraq, 2007. It’s the height of the insurgency. The roads are almost impassable. IEDs kill American soldiers every single day. Tens of thousands of fresh troops are pouring into the country, and they’re barely holding the line.

But after dark, Delta Force, SEALs and Rangers are starting to turn the tide. Every single night, Trapp is out with them, kicking down doors and taking names.

Now there’s a new threat.

American hopes in Iraq rest on control of the skies. Her enemies know that, Iran chief among them. But when countries quarrel, it’s soldiers who do the fighting.

And sometimes one man shapes a nation’s course.

The Dust Storm novella takes Jason Trapp right back to the start. He wasn’t always the CIA’s most feared asset. But he was always the Hangman.

Like the story and performance. I find it difficult to focus on it though... my mind seems to wander lately. not a reflection on the story.

Very nice, the author leaves some stories hanging! I would have loved to hear the reunion of the kid with his mother Nadia

If you, like me, have been wanting to know more about what made Trapp into Trapp, this book is for you! As always Slater and Garkusha go together like peanut butter and jelly, each one's style complimenting and enhancing the other. It was really fascinating to see how much Trapp has developed as a character over the past 8 books by going back to some of the formative events in his pre-CIA career, can't wait to jump into book 10 to see where he goes next!

Insight into Trapp's Past!

I'm going through this series hoping for more (better) content as the author matures and refines his story telling. The first few books were rough: decent premise but overly wordy and repetitive with some glaring factual errors. I did see some improvement in books 4-7 but this story fell flat. The author resorted back to wordiness and repeated phrases. Hoping the next books better
