I just finished “Enemies of My Enemies” by Ryk Brown, and I've been a devoted fan since his first book. While I found the opening a bit abrupt—almost like jumping into the middle of a conversation—it was still an excellent story overall. Brown's books are fast-paced, requiring your full attention; otherwise, you might miss important details. Across the series, the major characters are well-developed and feel like old friends, which I love. He keeps things fresh by introducing new characters every book or so, ensuring readers stay engaged. Brown has truly established himself as a masterful storyteller, and I can’t wait for the next installment.

I listened to this as an audiobook via Audible, which has a runtime of seven hours and twelve minutes. The narration by Jeffrey Kafer was outstanding, and he continues to bring the series to life brilliantly.

This new series rocks! I love how it spreads attention to many more characters, although it takes away from some (that Russian character).

I love this series but I still hate Jessica and would be so much happier without her in it.
