Love this series.

I liked that we weren’t back and figured out Joe he got to where he was in the first book. Good idea.

Interesting to learn about Gil's background,

It was interesting to learn about Gil's background, but I'm definitely also keying into the fact that he's pretty violent, even with his faith restored. I like the excitement and thrill and the dogs, but I find the violence intense, even painful to hear. It doesn't mean I'll stop reading the series, just something to keep in mind...

Loved getting the beginning of the story.

The reader is not my favorite but after listening to several of these books I am past that and enjoy listening.

Great writer and narrator. Not for the faint of heart. Great overall story, and riveting performance. 5 stars .

Great Details and Movement

This read was suspenseful and moved at just the right speed. I like the character’s development. I love the interaction with Pilgrim. I wish the rest of the series was on audible.
