When a CEO's envy threatens to corrupt an entire world, one father must risk everything...

Pete's life in Fertile Valley has never been better. His children are growing strong, his relationships are thriving, and the barrier between worlds holds steady. But when fairies start vanishing and hostile spirits breach the valley's heart in broad daylight, he discovers a terrifying truth: someone from the mortal world has been building an army in the Spirit World itself. But the CEO of CorpoMart believes the valley should have been his birthright. Wielding the corrupted essence of Envy and backed by legendary spirits like Greed and Wrath, he's systematically strangling the valley's trade routes while twisting creatures of legend into his personal soldiers.

Can Pete protect his family from a foe who will stop at nothing to take what he believes he's owed? Or will corporate ambition and ancient magic finally succeed in tearing Fertile Valley apart?

Feels like the end of the series, bit of a time skip I didn't remember expecting.

The End?

The story was good, although it seemed to fall a little shot of the rest of the series. The biggest annoyance though is the male narrator keeps jumping between names for one character. Is it Coraline or Caroline. When she is first introduced, he calls her Coraline. Three sentences later, its Caroline. It continued to bounce back and forth the rest of the story. Aurora only reads it as Coraline.

The male narrator can't decide on a name.

I didn't think I needed another Fertile Valley book. I was quiet pleased with how book three ended. I was so wrong! It was wonderful getting to spend time with the kiddos and seeing how they developed. The male VA cadence seemed a bit off to me. He stressed odd words and exaggerated on sentences that didn't seem all that important. So thats why I only have four stars. I very much enjoyed the female voice over during the spicey scenes. Also Thankyou Virgil Knightley on not skimping out on the spice you always write such good ones and balance them throughout the book well.

A nice wrap to the series.
