Sometimes, the biggest victories happen when you’re brave enough to stop fighting the fall....

Cameron

Stay on your feet. That’s my motto. When I lost my fighting career and my family, I stayed on my feet, wielding apathy like a shield. I didn’t allow anything—or anyone—that might bring me to my knees to get too close.

Now, I’m CEO of the UFL. I can’t afford to show any weakness if I want to get back to the octagon.

And Eve? I’m quickly learning she might be my biggest weakness yet....

Eve

I’m angry and bitter. My romantic history made sure of that. I’ve been able to repel the advances of even the most persistent men for a long, long time. So, I should be able to avoid a much older alpha male jerk like Cameron. But I don’t.

Now, I’m wondering just how much abuse my heart can take. Because in my experience, when life has you on the ropes, it never lets up. Not until you go down and stay down....

Fighting the Fall, book four in the Fighting series, is an emotional, angsty, older man/younger woman, contemporary, steamy sports/MMA romance with a guaranteed happily ever after. Download today and get ready to fall for Cameron and Eve.

Cam and Eve's story had some hard parts if you are a parent. Being a mom of two (boy & girl as well), anytime there is heartbreak when it comes to a child whether it be by abuse, an accident or death it is hard to imagine as you can't help but wonder 'what if that happened to me'? I don't want to give too much away about what happened so I won't go into as much detail or synopsis on this one since the end caught me off guard with the outcome of the accident from the beginning of the book.

I sympathized with Cam with the guilt he had and why he kept trying to coddle and care for his ex wife after the accident 14 years earlier that turned her into an emotional, sensitive mess who developed a drinking addiction. With that being said 14 years is too long and I was glad when he finally came to that internal realization and cut that cord. I loved his son Ryder and wish there was more on him or his own side book. He seemed like it'd be a good addition.

Not having the type of parents or childhood that Eve had I had a harder time sympathizing with why she would continue to let her father be a part of her life and continually take from her and be verbally and physically abusive to her. Her inner monologue would war back and forth in her head with why she should just cut him out, yet how she didn't because she just wanted to feel loved by him since she never felt wanted or loved by her mother or father. So when it came to her side I had a harder time understanding her thoughts and actions.

I loved the ending and the blended family and hope and look forward to get snapshots of more of these two in the rest of the series. Do they get married, do they have kids??? Who knows, but I hope by the end of the series.

The east book is still my favorite, but this one was pretty good. I do have to say that at one point I wanted to reach into the book and slap them both though. I can't wait to hear the next book.

This is a taboo (female is 21 and male is 38) romance where the man is a retired mma fighter. It’s a “hot damn” book and a bit of an emotional listen, but it is a good one. He narration is great. The HEA is cute. This can be listened as a standalone but there are books previous to this and after.

🤭 Complainer Comments (spoilers)

Why oh why does the main female keep opening her front door over and over again without looking? Especially after being attacked by doing so?

Taboo mma romance. 1POV. HEA. Standalone.

These books are getting better and better. From book one the narrators and the stories kept me downloading them. In this book the characters develop also through the story and that was missing in the previous books.

Keeps getting better

I really like this series. But I found myself yelling at the book telling Cameron to go away. Eve can't be this weak! The fact that this book got such a response from me , shows what excellent writing this was. Cameron and Eve are 2 of most pathetic undeserving people I've ever read about. Oh I'm still so disgusted! But great writing! Thanks for the rollercoaster!
