Glenn Garcia was as average as they come—forgettable face, no purpose, and a life no one noticed. Then he dies alone, unloved, and insignificant.

Struck down in a freak accident and barely mourned, Glenn is swept into the afterlife. When his soul registers as perfectly balanced—neither good nor evil—he becomes a cosmic anomaly. Anubis, a god of death, gives him a choice: fade into oblivion, or take a job as a Reaper.

Now, Glenn works in the Underworld Office, a bureaucratic nightmare filled with HR demons, tech-savvy Cyclopes, and eldritch desk managers. Paired with Canis, a sarcastic skeleton with a warped sense of mentorship, Glenn is tasked with ferrying souls and uncovering the truth behind his death. But when a soul-poisoning conspiracy emerges—one that ties to gods, murder, and a forbidden romance—Glenn must decide what kind of Reaper he wants to be. Because in the afterlife, even the dead have something to lose.

Funny, tragic, and mythic in scale—Glenn the Reaper is a dark fantasy ride through the absurdities of life, death, and everything in between.

I really like how the author incorporated many different religions and their gods into this story. It’s something I’ve always been interested in to sort of see different religions and their gods and how they would act. They’re also thrown in and interact with each other so that was a nice addition. I found myself learning even more about different gods and deities from other religions. I found the voice actor to be amazing he gives such different accents and personalities to the characters you can really feel their persona when you listen. The side story of the squirrel was a nice addition as well. Overall an entertaining listen, well put together audio and for anyone interested in learning more about various worldwide religions and mythos I would definitely give this book a shot!

Love the idea, and bringing in history of multiple religions
