Short Story Prequel

This was a short story audio prequel for the Cape Charade series. I've not yet read this series so it was a perfect introduction to the main character (I'm presuming she's the MC) Captain Kellen Adams.

Since this was a short story, the character development was, well, extremely light and quick. The actual plot of the story was interesting, yet there wasn't the depth to make it completely believable.

I did enjoy some of the secondary characters -there is a young man in her unit that stole the show - and the story did come to a satisfactory conclusion.

Kellen has a couple of unique traits that just might make her a very interesting character and I would be happy to give the series a try.

Prequel to a great series

Fun back story to Kellin and her army days. Wonderful audio. You will definitely want listen to the rest!

Short and sweet

Great story! I look forward to the next one in the series! Can not wait!

Decent treasure hunt

Fine bought on sale, with just enough character development to hold my interest. This is a self-contained caper and not merely a prologue or cliffhanger requiring purchase of book 1 to see the ending. It was decent enough that I’d get book 1 on sale, but not engaging enough that I’m itching to spend a full credit.
