Summary of the whole book: “Does the teacher…. If so, how?”

This book has very little psychology and strategies for actually navigating through and during difficult conversations. instead it provides example after example of every potential interaction; teacher to student, teacher to coach, coach to special needs teacher, admin to counselor, counselor to coordinator… and on and on. This point and case example is superficial and anecdotal. A much better book would explore psychology and critical thinking of how to approach any difficult situation, learning to handle and not shy from tension, and alter your methods for more successful interactions, regardless of the people in such difficult talks.

Hard Conversations provides the reader with a lot of great suggestions to prep for success when face with having to have a hard conversation.
