Do not fear the shadows, but what lives inside them.

While Ludo begins his unexpected search for a brother he thought he'd lost long ago, Bryony and a pair of unlikely allies set their course on unraveling the mysteries of Lostwood. In the heart of the forest, Perfidy and her motley crew of acolytes search for Cainan while rumors of the first ever dragon to inhabit Finfalla swirl from mouth to mouth, ear to ear.

Meanwhile, King Tomas Vedran marches to war against his own brother, Edward, who's planning an invasion of the fortress known as Stonewall. What Tomas and Edward discover about themselves while on the battlefield may very well change the twisting, turning course of history.

Overshadowing it all, the goddess Narcissi's blood continues to leak through Lostwood, providing untold power to the souls of those capable enough to wield it. And the next Blood Tide creeps ever closer to Finfalla's southern shores, a land ripe for destruction.

Fans of A Game of Thrones, The Stormlight Archives, The Kingfall Histories and The Fatemarked Epic will enjoy The Forsworn Oath. Start your epic adventure today.

This was my first time not listening to an entire series back 2 back 2 back 2 back 2 back.. even so, didn't take me long to catch up and remember what happened in book 1... and that's after having listened to over 30 different books since I last listened to Book 1. Love the new depth of the characters, and of course, the return of our beloved Day 1 in all her Hero glory!

It amazes me how David takes "mundane" courage, and create relatable heroes for everyone.

the story is entertaining enough. the characters have depth and are interesting despite at times making illogical decisions. the magic system is broad and detailed which keeps it fresh. my major dislike about this book is the random and unexplained introduction of a transexual character using 'they/them' pronouns that doesn't seem to serve any purpose other than to be inclusive. it feels as if the author is trying to force it and it just doesnt fit with the story. the narrators peformance is what kept me listening to the end.

Mildly entertaining story made better by a great narrator

Sitting on the edge of the seat while listening to one of the battles. Great continuation of the previous series, I also love the mentions of places in the previous series like Kingfall and Travail. I also still have 11.5 hours to go.

Amazing battles.

Even though the story is long it was something I looked forward to. The characters come alive, the story draws you in overall great saga one complaint is the use of profanity a more creative way of expressing feelings could have been explored.

Artfully woven saga
